Thin Skinned Yankee

They say home is where the heart is...but in this case, it's where we left the humidity!  Heather's trip to Missouri has been highlighted with heat...serious heat!  Temperatures have neared the triple digit marks, recorded precipitation for the month is less than 1" and combined with the heat index, being outside for longer than it takes to get to the air conditioned car will practically melt your acrylic nails.  Check the picture on right: taken at 7:30 p.m. and it's still 93 degrees!

One thing this new Yankee has adjusted quiet nicely too is the summer temperatures!  (Maybe ask us about the weather again in about six months)  On June 21, 2010 in Qulin, Missouri, the Weather Channel reported a high of 99 degrees.  On the same date in Clifton Park, New York it was 82 degrees.  Seriously...worlds apart!

Mix a four day old migraine that wasn't budging, the stress of traveling cross country and the Flanigan Family air condition unit going out (much like slow cooking in a crock pot) and you get the suckiest vacation day ever.  On her death bed, Mr. Ed ended up hauling Heather to the Piggott Emergency Room where she spent three hours on an IV for dehydration and migraine meds

Heat vs. Heather = Heat wins.
