Finding Friends Far From Home

It seems like the holidays are a mad rush of searching for the perfect gift, making sure every one on your list is covered and getting it all wrapped and under the tree.  Gifts for family, gifts for you spouse, gifts for your neighbors!  Last minute shopping can be some of the most stressful, chaotic moments where it can all come together or just fall apart.

Heather & Brett found themselves with a special present this year when they came to visit Brett's parents in Charlotte....a chance to catch up with a favorite friend!  Destiny has put Ms. Jennifer Watson in our path several times and it's just our luck that we're total besties now.

We first met Jen when she and Brett worked together at WTVA in Tupelo, Mississippi.  She's a meteorologist with a degree from Mississippi State University, but did her undergraduate work at East Carolina University...where Brett graduated from.  Small world?  It gets smaller.

Jen's parents also live in Charlotte, which is why she was able to meet up with us over the holiday break, but she was born and raised in Upstate New York...where we live now.  Sometimes we think this is almost Twilight Zone worthy.  Or that it's just fate that we're friends.

We hadn't seen Jen since we left Tupelo in May and it was so great catching up with her!  This cutie pie is a total steel magnolia!  Seriously, she has a heart of gold and is one of the sweetest gals we've ever met.  We have sincerely enjoyed every minute that we've known her!

We also know she'll take our Merry Christmas wishes back to Mississippi while saying "I love you guys!"  You should meet her, this girl's a total hoot.

"Remember, the greatest gift is not found in a store, nor under a tree,
but in the hearts of true friends."
