Million Dollar Beach Bums
We finally made it to a beach this summer! Well, sort of...it had water & sand, so it counts, right?
Less than an hour from us in Clifton Park is beautiful Lake George! The 32 miles long lake is surrounded by stunning homes, boat docks and a couple of sandy beaches scattered here and there.
You'll find the most sand in Lake George at Million Dollar Beach! Construction began on the beach in 1949 and the area got it's name due to the tremendous investment to bring in tons of sand.
Today, the beach is State run. You'll find it very clean and with trained lifeguards on duty. Admission is free, but you'll have to pay $10 for parking unless you want to walk a good ways....which means don't forget the sunscreen in the car.
