Fly Fighter

For Heather, growing up in rural Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas had some drawbacks...namely the mosquito population.  It was hard to spend time outside after the sunset.  You could plan on just about getting carried away by the bugs!

To combat the insect population during the Kocher cousins family reunion, Heather's dad Mr. Ed devised a plan...that surprisingly works!  Check out his "fly fighters"!

Them there fancy "fly fighers" are simply ziploc bags filled with water, pennies and pieces of tin foil.  And wth?? is what you're probably thinking about now.  Some entomologists believe that when the sensitive eyes of a fly see refracted light (from the water) they get confused or mistake it for a predator and fly off.

Hey, whatever works, right??
