Then & Now: Zoom Flume Water Park

The first summer we spent in New York was pretty awesome.  Every weekend we tried to find something different to do.  Our adventures led us to the Zoom Flume Water Park in Durham, NY.  It's a nice little water park nestled in the Catskill Mountains that was really a lot of fun.  We spent the day going down all the water slides and having a blast!

But here's the really funny thing...on that post, Heather's friend Kate Hayes predicted the future!

Who would have guessed she would have been so close to hitting the nail on the head years later?!

A deal on Living Social brought us back to the Zoom Flume with one more in tow this time.  The only thing missing was the turtle shooting water out of it's shell!  While we didn't hit the park as hard as we did on our first visit, we got to enjoy things we never even noticed before.

Like the 'shower' curtain...

The splash pad...

and apparently, a drinking fountain.

We managed to take turns and sneak in a few trips down the big kid's water slides while Colt crashed for his afternoon nap.  He never even noticed his babysitters switched off and on.

Life is tough when you're a baby!
There goes Brett!
While our visit to the Zoom Flume this time was a little slower paced from our last go-around, it sure wasn't any less fun!  Life does change when you have children...and we wouldn't change it for anything in the world.
