Welcome to the Saratoga County Fair

For some reason, we've never actually made it to the Saratoga County Fair since we've lived in New York.  Heather took her parents to the New York State Fair last year, but we've missed out on the local scene.  This year, we decided to change that.

The fair has been around for a while, 2013 marked their 172nd anniversary.  Set in Ballston Spa, the fair runs from July 16-21, which seemed pretty short for a county fair.  Shouldn't they at least be a week?? City boy Brett really hasn't had much experience with County Fairs, after all, he's no blue ribbon winner like Heather is!

For $10 admission, we got to see plenty of action!  Colt really loved the petting zoo and was probably the loudest laughing kid when it came to the goats!  He was just cracking up the whole time!  We saw exhibits, animals, carnival rides, tons of great smelling fair food and a huge model train display.  We even got to watch the 'world's largest sundae' being made...and sample some of it!  The fair really had something to offer for everyone, even City Boy's and their offspring.
